Reverend Dr. Jerome C. Ross, Ph.D. BIO Jerome Clayton Ross is a native of Richmond, VA and, since November 20, 2010, the husband of his Beloved, Mrs. Annette C. Ross. He was baptized (April 10, 1966), licensed to preach (February 10, 1974), and ordained (August 20, 1978) at Moore Street Missionary Baptist Church. After graduating from Maggie L. Walker High School, Richmond, VA as salutatorian in 1971, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies (1975) from Randolph-Macon College [R-MC], Ashland, VA, a Master of Divinity degree, Magna Cum Laude (1978) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University [STVU], Richmond, VA, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Hebrew Bible (1997) from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA.
He taught Hebrew Bible at STVU from 1982 to 2006 and Religious Studies at R-MC from 2006-2013. At present, he teaches as an adjunct in Hebrew Bible at STVU and at John Tyler Community College (the Midlothian and the Chester campuses) in addition to offering his expertise and services as a consultant in Biblical Studies for clergy and congregations.
In addition to teaching, he has been privileged to serve as Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA from December 1983 to August 1993 and as Pastor of Providence Park Baptist Church, Richmond, VA, since September 5, 1993.
